GAMING

Industry:

Monopoly Go earned Hasbro $44m in licensing revenue last quarter, as the toy giant’s digital games business grew 17%. The result underlines how much of Hasbro’s growth is now coming from mobile, with Scopely’s hit title continuing to be a reliable revenue driver more than two years after launch.

Tencent could acquire Playtika-owned SuperPlay for as much as $1.5bn, according to a new report. The hyper-casual studio behind Domino Dreams and Traffic Jam would mark one of the year’s largest gaming M&A deals if it goes ahead, further extending Tencent’s reach into the mobile puzzle space.
