Candy Crush maker King has released its first dedicated report on Europe’s mobile games sector. The study found that European mobile games companies generated €7.5 billion in revenue in 2025, contributing €5.9bn in economic value and supporting 30,000 direct jobs across the continent. Revenue was concentrated in Finland, Sweden, Spain, Ireland and the UK, with the report forecasting collective revenue beyond €8bn by 2028.
Roblox has appointed SuperAwesome as its exclusive third-party vendor for under-13 advertising worldwide, alongside the launch of a new suite of Gen Alpha engagement tools. The partnership will deliver COPPA-compliant ad formats across Roblox Kids and Select modes.
Pokémon Go teases 30th anniversary celebrations and July Community Day. Niantic has confirmed new in-game events and offline celebrations across several regions to mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Pokémon Go’s July Community Day, launching July 4th and starring Sobble, will offer bonuses including double Candy for catches and longer lure durations.
Atari has acquired Melbourne-based Hipster Whale, the studio behind the Crossy Road franchise. Since launching in 2014, Crossy Road has surpassed 340 million downloads. The deal follows Atari’s prior acquisitions of Nightdive Studios and Digital Eclipse as part of its push to expand mobile development capabilities.

Apple has unveiled a range of new App Store capabilities to help developers grow their businesses and improve discoverability. Highlights include Creative Assets for richer product page promotion, Personalised Collections and App Notes for tailored recommendations, and expanded subscription options
Affle acquires AdColony assets to expand mobile advertising reach. The assets include its Android and iOS SDKs, technology platform, publisher and mediation integrations, brand name, and domain. The deal supports Affle’s 10X growth strategy by broadening the reach of its AI-powered Consumer Platform across mobile publishers worldwide, while allowing DT to sharpen its focus on its core media, distribution, and data intelligence businesses.
