EXMOX UPDATES

Having shaped Exmox today and laid the foundations for even greater success, Caglar Eger is leaving his role as CEO to become Chief Commercial Officer at Aonic. Aonic CEO and co-founder Paul Schempp joins exmox as its new CEO. Paul brings a deep understanding of the business, having worked alongside Caglar and the wider team since Aonic’s acquisition of exmox in 2022.

Vijay Sudalaimuthu joins exmox as Vice President of Marketing, bringing extensive experience in building and scaling high-performing marketing organizations. In this role, Vijay will lead exmox’s global marketing strategy and oversee the marketing team.

GAMING

Industry:

German publishers rejected Apple’s revised app tracking rules and urged the country’s competition authority to fine Apple. According to the publishers, the proposed changes are insufficient to resolve ongoing antitrust concerns.

Games:

Hello Kitty creator Sanrio has launched its self-published game brand, Sanrio Games. Sanrio Games plans to release ten games over the next three years. The first title, “Sanrio Party Land,” is set for release in fall 2026.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has topped 2026’s box office with $755 million globally. The Super Mario animated franchise has now surpassed $2 billion in worldwide earnings, making it the 10th highest-grossing film series ever made.

 

ADTECH

The European Commission determined that TikTok violated the Digital Services Act through its addictive design features, including infinite scroll, autoplay, push notifications, and its personalized recommendation algorithm, all of which may pose risks to users’ physical and mental health. At this stage, the Commission believes TikTok may need to change core elements of its service, including disabling certain addictive features over time.
