The UK Government has launched a £30 million Games Growth Package as part of an investment strategy to boost the country’s games sector and address skills gaps.

Apple officially reveals a new Games app that will be pre-installed and designed to house users’ game libraries, social connections, and Apple Arcade.

Google has quietly built and released its own standalone Instant Games app. The standalone app features YouTube Playables, a collection of HTML5 games previously available in the YouTube app since 2023. It includes titles like Om Nom Run and Chess Classic, is accessible globally via the Google Play store, and has over 10,000 installs.

New FunPlus publishing label Kingsglory will launch its first title next year in the shape of free-to-play cross-platform open-world ARPG Aniimo.

Appcharge and AppsFlyer have introduced a new integrated solution that provides mobile game developers with advanced tools for enhanced mobile payments and web store analytics.
