Industry:

Pokémon Go, Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom and their associated development teams are now under new ownership as Scopely closes $3.5bn Niantic deal.

Games:

Ready to explore new games? Here are all the upcoming mobile games releasing in May 2025. 

Exciting news for all the big fans of the Clash Royale franchise. The developer Supercell has announced its partnership with Netflix to produce an animated series based on its hit game. The series will be titled Clash, although no release date has been announced yet.

ADTECH

Liftoff has announced the winners of the Mobile AppDev Awards 2025. These awards celebrate the most innovative games and apps in the global mobile market. 

Tripledot Studios acquired AppLovin’s mobile game unit for $800M. This includes 10 studios, and it is expected to significantly expand operations in key strategic markets, including the US and Asia.
