Industry:
Swedish gaming group Aonic, secured €152m for M&A and studio development, with €100m from Metric Capital Partners and €52m via a shareholder loan conversion by Active Ownership.
Zynga has sold the mobile advertising and monetization platform Chartboost to LoopMe for an unspecified amount.
Gamehaap introduces new monetization opportunities for game studios. The Estonian startup provides a platform for game developers to monetize their intellectual property (IP) by buying and selling game IPs securely.
Reports:
AppLovin has released their report with predictions for the mobile app industry for 2025. The report states that 2025 could be the Year of in-app advertising. Key trends could include AI-driven predictive marketing for personalized campaigns, e-commerce’s shift to in-app ads as a major channel, and gamification enhancing user engagement across app types.

ADTECH
The U.S. Court of Appeals denied TikTok and ByteDance’s request to block a law they said could shut down TikTok for 170 million U.S. users, citing no past cases supporting such action.
Furthermore US lawmakers have told Apple and Google to be ready to remove TikTok from app stores by January 19th 2025.
